The Riu Palace Bavaro hotel reopens after a complete renovation

Following a comprehensive renovation of its facilities, which “marks a turning point in the chain’s offering both in the destination and around the world,” explains Riu Hotels & Resorts, the Riu Palace Bavaro is reopening its doors in Punta Cana (Dominican Republic). With the addition of the Riu Naiboa, the establishment that was located next door and has been demolished, the hotel now has new spaces to segment its offering. It has 994 rooms, with different accommodation options for families and friends and others with the exclusive benefits of the Elite Club service.

With the expansion of its facilities, the Riu Palace Bavaro has segmented its offering, allocating 255 rooms for families and groups of friends, as they have three large beds so they can share the same space. They are located in the family area of the establishment, one of the new areas that have been incorporated after the renovation. Even the Kids Club, located in this space, diversifies its entertainment offering for three different ages.

Another exclusive area has also been designed for Elite Club clients. Specifically, there are 108 rooms for clients who contract this premium service. They are located in privileged locations, with the best views available, and 60 of them have a private pool. In addition, these guests have an exclusive pool for them with their own bar, as well as a priority check-in area and a lounge bar.

The hotel now has 32 food and drink outlets, including “a real novelty in the almost 100 Riu hotels in the world: a food court with all kinds of food,” according to the company in a statement.

All hotel guests have access to the Splash Water World water park at the Riu complex in Punta Cana, a space that is complemented by the nine swimming pools offered by the hotel.

New style

In addition to the new entertainment and gastronomic offerings – made up of a wide variety of restaurants – the design of the renovated Riu Palace Bavaro follows the new style that Riu Hotels & Resorts is implementing in all its renovations and in its newly built hotels.

A sober style, with soft and elegant tones that are combined with greater use and exploitation of natural light, which can be appreciated both in the rooms and in all the common areas, including the existing and new restaurants, and the eight bars that the establishment now has.
