Last December was announced the arrival of the prestigious hotels The Ritz-Carlton and The Luxury Collection to the country by signing an agreement that leaves its installation in Yanuna, a new luxury tourist development that the administrator of funds will develop in Macao, north area of the Punta Cana region.
The commitment to The Ritz-Carlton and The Luxury Collection, result of the alliance with the Pioneer Investment Fund Manager, will begin in June.
Yanuna’s strategic location and the global reputation of The Ritz-Carlton and The Luxury Collection brands to Pioneer’s investment portfolio will contribute to the tourist attractiveness of the Dominican Republic. The transaction, which in its first stage includes an investment of more than US$250 million, is expected to generate employment opportunities and stimulate economic growth in the region.
The establishment of world-renowned hotel brands will attract more high-end tourists and create new employment opportunities that promote development and increase the country’s competitiveness.
In the particular case of The Ritz-Carlton hotel, the construction of the first All-Inclusive hotel in the region stands out, which will have 250 rooms and 50 residential units. The Ritz-Carlton is considered one of the most prestigious hotel brands in the world.
Yanuna will be located next to the Uvero Alto highway, about 34 km northwest (35 minutes by car) of the Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ), which is served by direct flights from more than 30 countries, making the destination be extremely accessible to numerous demand-generating markets.
