First tower in Cap Cana will be used for Real Estate Tourism

Authorities inaugurated this Friday the “7 Mares at Cap Cana” real estate project, the first tower to be built in the destination city for real estate tourism.

The work, located 800 meters from Juanillo beach, has 65 housing units, distributed in 12 of the 15 levels that make up the infrastructure in total. These are apartments that range between 114.25 and 130 square meters, as well as seven luxury penthouses, measuring around 1,110 square meters.

The president of the Board of Directors of Cap Cana, Fernando Hazoury, highlighted that the work comes to diversify the offer of more than 7,000 hotel and real estate rooms already operational in Cap Cana.

He indicated that the tower is the first “of many others” that are intended to be built in the destination city, in order to attract foreign residents with greater purchasing power than the traditional niche that real estate tourism attracts, in addition to generating a greater economic boost. for other sectors linked to its value chain.

The homes are designed for young families, remote workers and retired people, explained Hazoury, who understands that legal certainty, transparency and the speed with which projects are processed make the investment climate for this type of initiatives increasingly more favorable.

When attending the opening ceremony of the tower, President Luis Abinader said he felt “very optimistic” about the investments and commitment of Dominican businessmen to the development of the tourism sector.

In very difficult times (during the covid-19 pandemic) I said that it was the best time to invest. Well, that moment continues with a lot of hope, much more quality. We will continue to grow and advance,” said the president.

He urged the private sector to continue contributing with the Government to the management of projects that mobilize the Dominican economy, indicating that it was public-private alliances that allowed the Dominican Republic to recover from the economic crisis of 2020.

He recalled that at the end of the year, economic growth of between 4.5 and 5.2% is expected, according to the projections of the Central Bank, which predicts favorable prospects for tourism.

“We are sure that tourism will grow more as the main locomotive of the economic sector, and that it will become a true engine of development,” he said.

The Minister of Tourism, David Collado, agreed with this, who valued the tower “as a project that complements the ecosystem of the Cap Cana tourist destination.”

Hazoury maintained that the design and engineering of the work included “many elements” to reduce its environmental footprint. He recalled that towers have the advantage of preserving larger green areas and land without intervening, as they are high-rise buildings.

For engineer Mariano Sanz Lovatón, partner and owner of “7 Mares at Cap Cana”, the tower represents an example of an innovative and environmentally friendly design. “It is a space where elegance and luxury meet sustainability,” he defined.
