The president of Meliá Hotels International, Gabriel Escarrer, reported that he will build a ‘Zel’ brand hotel in Punta Cana that will become the first in America. He indicated that the project will be built in collaboration with the tennis player Rafael Nadal, and will be state-of-the-art, with a model tennis academy, the ‘Rafa Nadal Tennis Academy‘.
«I want to share with you the experience of bringing the Zel brand to America for the first time, which is the brand that we have recently created together with the great tennis player Rafael Nadal. It is going to be a state-of-the-art Zel right in Punta Cana and we are going to accompany it with a tennis academy that will also be exemplary, the ‘Rafa Nadal Tennis Academy’, which will still be the first in America,” he added in a video alongside to the Minister of Tourism, David Collado.
Escarrer expressed being proud of the collaboration that exists between the public and private sectors of the Dominican Republic, giving rise to projects such as the Zel hotel, which is a commitment to the diversification of the tourist, lodging and sports offer.
«We are very proud of this public-private collaboration and thanks to the support of President Abinader and Minister Collado for everything we are doing together. It is a quality bet; Diversification is once again a reality here in Bávaro,” emphasized the Spanish manager.
