The Destination
Punta Cana
Punta Cana, the easternmost tip of the Dominican Republic, abuts the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. It’s a region known for its 32km stretch of beaches and clear waters. The Bávaro area and Punta Cana combine to form what’s known as La Costa del Coco, or the Coconut Coast, an area of lavish, all-inclusive resorts. It’s popular for zip-lining, windsurfing, kayaking and sailing.
Miches
Miches is a town located in El Seibo province in the northeast coast of the Dominican Republic. The community sits between the northern slopes of the Cordillera Oriental and the southern shore of the Samaná Bay.
Bayahibe
Bayahibe is a resort town on the Caribbean coast of the Dominican Republic. It’s known for its sandy beaches and dive sites. Palm-fringed playa pública Bayahibe beach has a boat launch. Playa Dominicus is a long stretch of sand with coral reefs. To the east, the mainland section of Del Este National Park is dotted with caves, some with ancient rock art. Its Saona Island has beaches and reefs with diverse marine life.
Cap Cana
Cap Cana is known for its high-end resorts and the ocean-facing Punta Espada Golf Club. Dotted with palms, Juanillo is a public beach that’s popular for kitesurfing, kayaking, and snorkeling. Bars, restaurants, and cigar lounges cluster at Cap Cana Marina, alongside shops selling Larimar gemstones, unique to the Dominican Republic. Scape Park is home to ancient caves, zip lining courses, and a natural sinkhole.
