The journey with these fantastic animals begins in the area of Uvero Alto, in northern Punta Cana. You will be picked up at your hotel in an open-air truck, which will allow you to see, feel and smell the real Dominican countryside on your way to the Ranch. Moving further away from the tourist areas, you will pass through several small villages, sugar cane fields and tropical fruit plantations, getting a glimpse of the Dominican lifestyle.
Once arrived at the ranch (an authentic Dominican ranch) you’ll be given a riding helmet while one of the guides will give a short explanation on how to handle the horse. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced rider, the guides will try their best to match you with the horse that is just right for you.
Once you are saddled up and ready to go, just follow your guide through the woods, across and down some local roads and on the beach. Just sit back and relax on your horse and explore some hidden scenery. Here you will experience the landscape of the Dominican countryside with its breathtaking mountains, rivers, virgin beaches and more. The wind will whip through your hair as your horse picks up speed while contemplating the never ending ocean. You can even ride in the shore – the horses love it! You’ll have a nice long ride till reaching a river. Here you’ll have a chance to take a break and have some fresh coconut juice (bring some $$ to give the coconut guy as it is his only income).
Throughout the journey the experienced guide will look after you and share with you their knowledge of the Dominican Republic, its culture and more. They will assist you and make you spend an unforgettable time. A professional photographer will also take pictures of you along the way, and give you the option to purchase them after viewing them (like always barter with him the price).
At the end of the tour some bottled water is offered and there are drinks available at a bar located on the property. While resting, you can check the pictures taken by the photographer on a screen and decide if to buy them or not.

TIPS
– Some water is provided only at the end of the tour. We recommend you to bring some extra. You’ll need it specially if you catch a hot and sunny day;
– However this tour doesn’t require any riding experience, there are many points where the customers will try the gallop, so bear it in mind if you’re a first timer.
