Paradisus by Meliá, together with Albania Rosario, founder of the Federation of Designers of Latin America (FDLA), and the renowned event producer Sócrates McKinney, have joined forces to celebrate the first edition of Fashion & Travel Escapade.
During a cocktail party held at the Mercedes Benz showroom in Autozama, they announced the first edition of Fashion & Travel Escapade, which will be held on November 8 and 9, at the Paradisus Palma Real and Paradisus Grand Cana hotels in Punta Cana.
This incredible staging will bring together the best of Dominican resort fashion with prestigious designers Giannina Azar, José Jhan, Angie Polanco, the Jenny Polanco brand, Carolina Escudero from Argentina, Mauricio Duarte from Brazil, Carlos Pineda from Mexico, Mercedes Campuzano and shoe designer Laura Cepeda from Colombia.
Vogue Night, one of the activities that will take place within the framework of the event, will have as special guest José Forteza, senior editor of Condé Nast (Vogue, GQ and AD), for Mexico and Latin America and honorary president of the FDLA.
Sara Ranghi, Director of Marketing and Brand Development for the Americas region at Meliá Hotels International, highlighted that it is an honor for Paradisus by Meliá to become the epicenter of fashion for an entire weekend, with the platform staging what we hope will be the first of many Fashion and Travel Escapade Weekends.
“This event will be a great opportunity for relevant national and international designers to present the latest trends in resort fashion,” said Ranghi, who took the opportunity to especially thank Albania Rosario, Founder of the FDLA, and Sócrates Mckinney, for being very important parts of this event.
“I want to convey a message of hope so that these creative minds with limited financial resources can have this federation as their main ally and thus be able to bring their talent to the main platforms of global fashion,” said Albania Rosario, founder of the FDLA.
She added that her main objective is to support Latin talent that, through her platform, seeks to empower and improve the Latin presence in the world of international fashion.
